The tomb of Omar Khayyam was added to the list of "glories of Iranian architecture"

Members of "glories Association of Iranian architecture" added the tomb of Omar Khayyam to the lists of the Iran's best works of architecture. Houshang Seihon, the famous architect and sculptor has designed the tomb of Khayyam in Nishapur. The tomb of Omar Khayyam Nishapur, the quatrain and prominent Iranian philosopher was added to list of "the works of Iranian architecture index". At a meeting of "one hundred architect, a hundred choices" that was held on Wednesday (19 March), with votes of architects, the tomb of the great Iranian poet in were added to the lists of the Iran's best works of architecture. Khayyam's tomb is placed in the city of Nishapur, in one of the most beautiful Persian gardens and the tomb is surrounded by a set of libraries, museums and guesthouse. Houshang Seihon, the well-known Iranian architect, sculptor and painter has designed the Khayyam's tomb. Houshang Seihon who died in 2013 in Canada is known as the "the man of indelible monuments of Iran". Seihon in his repertoire has also recorded the design, the tomb of Ferdowsi, Kamalolmolk and Nadir Shah Afshar except the Khayyam's tomb. He had said before, he had tried in design of Khayyam tomb to pay attention to all three face the obvious scientific and literary - math, poetry and logic - characters of Khayyam and the tomb be a symbol of all specialties of this important cultural figures.
"The glories association of Iranian architecture "plans to select and introduce the one hundred top Iranian architecture by one hundred architect in the project of "one hundred architect, a hundred choices". These works will be published in a reference book with detailed explanations and will be taught in academic centers.
